Council received a quarterly update on the construction of the Active Living Centre (ALC). The project remains within budget and on track to open to the public in fall 2026. The City is actively exploring mitigation strategies in response to potential tariff developments and any possible impacts on the ALC project. Update as of September 25 at 3:30 p.m. Construction timelines for work along 43rd Avenue have been adjusted. Starting as early as 6:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, westbound lanes of 43rd Avenue will be closed. Two-way traffic will be maintained along 43rd Avenue using the eastbound lanes.
